About Destiny's Creations
It’s about clean shapes, whimsical yet elegant designs, combining precious metals with rich colors. It’s about the
confidence you feel when you know you are wearing something that is exquisite and makes you feel beautiful.
Destiny’s Creations was born in 2006 by artisan Janice Doner alongside a successful career as a Paralegal. She
began taking jewelry classes with a co-worker as part of a girl’s night out and for relaxation. It quickly became
a creative passion. Within months she pursued classes in metalsmithing, wire wrapping, creating dichroic glass
and metal clay.
The love that she experiences while designing a new piece of jewelry reminds her of the artistic joy she
experienced in her early twenties as a make-up artist. Her striking jewelry collection ranges in style from urban
to classic elegance to ornate as she draws from frequent trips to estate sales with her mother and father during
her childhood years. Her designs range from everyday casual, to bridal and evening wear.
At Destiny’s Creations every semi-precious gemstone or pearl has been individually selected from top suppliers throughout the world, and transformed into necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
Janice works with Art Clay Silver, fine silver, sterling silver, gold-filled wire, artisan glass lampwork beads, Swarovski
crystals, and unique precious and semi precious gemstones, to create limited edition or one of a kind jewelry
pieces.
All of the dichroc glass pendants are handcrafted by Janice. The lampwork beads that are a part of many of her
jewelry pieces are purchased from artisans around the world, each unique in their style. Many are one of a kind
and cannot be duplicated.
Janice is a certified Art Clay Silver instructor. Art Clay Silver is an eco-friendly metal clay, which is comprised of
100% recycled fine silver particles, organic binders and water. Once the metal clay is fired, the organic binders
burn away and what is left is 99.9% pure fine silver. Working with you to design an original piece of jewelry that fits
your unique personal style is what she loves most. She has also been known to take a vintage piece, reconstruct it
and modernize it.
Janice’s collections are sold online, at select retail locations, through private jewelry parties and at various fine art and artisan shows in Connecticut.
All of Janice’s work is handmade in her private studio in Windsor, CT |
